Lower School Math and Homeroom Teacher
Austin School is seeking a Class Teacher
- Who is highly motivated, friendly, creative, outgoing, and positive in their approach to their school and education generally.
- Who has a passion for being a homeroom teacher for young children.
- Who uses appropriate formative and summative assessment tools to evaluate the physical, emotional, social, and educational needs and progress of all learners.
- Who performs typical teacher-related duties such as playtime & lunchtime supervision and other rotating duties besides their classroom teaching. In addition, they maintain accurate records for student attendance, participation, and progress.
- Who participates in other academic related administrative duties, curriculum planning, marking, report writing, assessment preparation, student evaluation, and other tasks assigned by the Principal / Senior Management Team.
- Who actively participates in school projects and functions, including promotional events, Continuous Professional Development(CPD) events, seminars, conferences, open days/houses, school trips, celebrations, school social events and other related activities.
- Who collaborates with other staff to improve school policies and to further develop the school’s curriculum and resources.
- Who upholds high professional standards in all matters relating to the school and its stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bilingual teacher who can speak English and Mandarin fluently.
- Minium of three years full-time classroom teaching experience.
- Experience of teaching math to primary students of varied abilities preferred.
- Master or Bachelor’s degree in Education / Psychology / SEN / English with appropriate experience, and a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent.
- ICT skills and high proficiency with educational software and support websites.
- Be capable of holding weekly club-related activities.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge Curriculum and Singapore or Chinese National Curriculum is preferred.
